Bumdra Trek
Bumdra Trek (San Choekar Buddhist College, Thimphu) — Bumdra is not just a trek. It is a religious pilgrimage as well. Bumdra means ‘Rock of One Hundred Thousand Footprints’. People taking this trek are said to be following in the footsteps of 100,000 Dakinis (angles) who traversed these paths thousands of years ago. This three-day long trek takes you through lush rhododendron and pine forests to the most iconic landmark of Bhutan- The Tiger’s Nest. You will also see the Sang Choekar Monastery.
The months to conduct this trek are March thru May and September thru November.
