Shearee Square (Babesa-Thumphu Expressway, Thimphu) – this multi-level shopping center is Thimphu’s largest mall. It is perhaps the largest mall in the entire country. Remarkably, to show that Bhutan still lives in another time, this is one of the few buildings in the capital with escalators and elevators. In terms of merchandise, luxury brands are not found here. Instead, much of what’s here is an assortment of cheaper “Made in China” goods (everything from apparel to toys).
